Building Blackpool’s First 5 Star Hotel
AE Engineering have had the privilege of working alongside one of our loyal clients on the construction of Blackpool’s first 5 Star Hotel.
The former Sands Venue building is being turned into a luxury 96 bedroom hotel and leisure development. The new luxury hotel located in the shadows of the famous Blackpool Tower is on the site of a former hotel, The Palatine Hotel, which was knocked down in the 1970s and replaced with the popular venue.
We have been tasked in helping them with specific aspects of contract lifting and steel erection to ensure safe and secure lifting solutions and the execution of their project to an allocated time scale.
Using a range of our fleet including our 80tonne Tadano ATF and a selection of our telehandlers, our team have helped progress the project which is set for completion in Summer 2020.
Our new Glass Lifting Accessory has also been put to work, with panoramic views of the North Sea our operations team have helped lift and securely fit large glass pains throughout the structure of the building.
